Here is Braydon showing off his MAD skills on the trampoline. It was a really nice sunny day here in Alabama, (yuck). I would kill for some snow. It was in the 70's I believe. Not even jacket weather, so we decided to go out back and play a little.

Anytime the going got rough, she would just hunker down and hold on tight.
Merry Christmas all! We had a great Christmas this year. It was a little sad though because we weren't able to be with our families this year. This was the first Christmas in our whole 8 years of marriage that we were alone at Christmas. But we made the best of it and still tried to make it fun and magical. It turned out great! We had a lot of our own family time. We spent all of Christmas day lounging out in our Jammies and playing with our Christmas presents and watching new movies and playing games and eating tons of candy! It was a blast.
This year with the kids we really tried to focus on teaching the true meaning of Christmas, when we realized that Braydon didn't really know the Baby Jesus story. So we taught it to him. And had Family Home Evenings about it. He learned a lot. It was very special. Santa still played a big roll, but now he understands that Christmas is not just about Santa and the gifts, but about the birth of Jesus and being kind and generous and helping to others.
Here are a few Pics from our fun Holiday, there are a lot, so make sure to scroll down so you don't miss them. Love you all and Happy holidays!

On Christmas Eve Braydon got a Christmas book that was about him! It was so fun to watch his excitement as he read about his adventures with Santa. He loved it.

Braydon's new Christmas Jammies!

On Christmas Eve, Jason and I always get the kids new Jammies to wear to bed that night and they get to open it before bed. These are their cute new Jammies..

Braydon and Ambria got to both open their presents from Mom and Dad on Christmas Eve.

Her first experience with presents.

And then, SANTA came!

He ate most of the fudge that Braydon left him. There were even crumbs in the chimney! Braydon has a motion sensor that makes a loud noise when you walk past it. He put it in front of the chimney so he would hear Santa come, but Santa was too smart and put the sensor in fromt of Braydon's bedroom door so he would hear if Braydon was spying. So at 2 o'clock in the morning Braydon comes out of his room and this very loud siren goes off and scares him half to death and wakes up the baby. So Braydon came into our room to open presents. We had to send him back to bed, but at 5:30 when he came back, we had to give in. There was just no way he was going back to bed. It was fun. This was the first year Braydon woke us up on Christmas, we have always had to wake him up! It was awesome!!!

Of all the ones under there, he chose to open the smallest one first! Haha, I would have gone straight to the big ones.

He was excited to get this because he added it to his list at the last minute.

She was so funny with this Elmo. She wouldn't have anything to do with the other presents after seeing this one. She loved it. It was great!

It was the Christmas for Nerf this year! That was the big important thing that Braydon just had to have. He was dying for a Nerf Longshot Blaster. And Horray! He got one!

This was her first present. Once a little of the paper was off, it was enough to play with it so she didn't even bother with the rest of the paper. She loves to push the buttons on this little cell phone. Braydon had one exactly like it when he was her age.

Braydon's gifts from Santa. He said is was the best Christmas Ever! I think he might be a little biased...

Ambria's Christmas. She loved all her gifts. Once she saw the Elmo live though, we would try to give her something new to open and she would just push it away. All she wanted was to watch Elmo. It was fun!

One of Jason's gifts. He got some Oakley Sunglasses, a watch, this xbox game, and some new slippers.

His game came in this box. I didn't want him to guess what it was!

I got a Cricut Expression! Yeah. I wanted one of these for a long time! Thanks baby!

What goes up........

Must come down! (The slide would have been easier, baby girl!)
Ambria loves to take showers with daddy. She was being really funny today, so I grabbed the camera.

We had Christmas at the Hangar today. It was fun. That's one thing I like about Jason's unit is they always do fun little family friendly activities. I think that's pretty rare in the Army. But anyways, here we are. Jason is working with Ambria walking. She walked all the way across the Hangar to greet Santa.

Pretty soon, she was walking with only one hand! Yay, Ambria! She's getting better and better every day.

Santa arrived on a fire truck. It was so fun. He came driving across the airfield and they had the siren going and everything. The kids loved it!

Braydon immediatley said, "that's not really Santa!" Uuuuhhhhh, what,
son?!?!?!@#@$#

We thought we would try the Santa thing again. She is screaming this time!

Braydon loves Santa, though! He told him that he wanted a Nerf Longshot Blaster.

But, he got a little plasitc bow and arrow. Way to deliver, Santa. Haha JK

Ambria got a little toy from Santa too. It made her feel better after crying at the scary guy in red!

The kiddos got, or in Ambria's case, were forced to sit on Santa's lap. Granted she was cranky because it was nap time, but needless to say she didn't care for it too much. So I had to hurry and snap a picture. So fun!

Braydon got to see his friend Summer, who was visiting her family for Christmas. She is a girl in the ward who Braydon just loves. She went away to college and he was so sad.

Ambria was being so funny. She was just crawling all over the place. I had to chase her under tables and between people's chairs. And yes, there were people sitting in them. She was having a ball. Everyone loved her. All the cute young women in the ward took turns holding her. And she loved the attention. She is getting to be very sociable.

Braydon had another basketball game this last Saturday. He had so much fun and was really getting into it. He did very well too. He caused 2 turnovers from the other team and was SO good at blocking his guy. He is #29. The team lost, but they were still very excited about the points that they made! What a bunch of cuties!
This is from Braydon's cute little Christmas Program that they did at school. They have been practicing for weeks so they could put on this cute program for the parents. It was great! They sang "Must Be Santa" and "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". Braydon was so funny, through both the songs he was swayin' his hips and really just "gettin down"! It was awesome! The kid loves to sing and dance. This is just a little bit of the song, but you can see how much fun! Braydon is directly in the middle, it's hard to see, but he is a red shirt and at the end is the one holding up the 2nd sign from the right.

Here are a few shots of the second grade
Christmas program. It was very cute and fun to watch!
He was cracking me up, because he was really trying to show off. He was cheeseballin' it so much. I was almost rolling on the floor laughing. He over exaggerated all the moves trying to do the best he can! It was great! I'm so proud of you, Braydon!!!
Today Braydon's class had a Christmas Party. I went to help out and to bring some little goodies for the kiddies. It was so fun so see Braydon in his "school environment". They got pizza and soda and cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches. And they got to watch a Christmas cartoon, and every single one of them were just fixated on the movie. They were so good and cute. It was a lot of fun! I can't wait to see their Christmas Program tomorrow morning!

I snapped a few shots last night while she was in the bath. I didn't have any bathtime photos. She loves taking baths. If you look closely you can see that the walls all around the bathtub are dripping wet, and so was the floor! She just splashes so much. It's getting to where I am thinking about wearing a bathing suit to bathe her because I get so wet anyways!
What is the fascination with babies and bathrooms? I just can't figure it out. We catch Ambria in there all the time. Last night she did this right under our noses (literally)! That was a brand new roll of toilet paper and if you look at the roll now, you can see that it is COMPLETELY unraveled. What a little stinker! And as if unrolling it was wasn't enough, she then proceeded to tear each little square to tiny little shreds. Aw, the joys of toddlerhood, but I fear the worst is yet to come! It kills me that she is just smiling and waving like she just did something so great. Haha, so much fun!

Happy 8th Anniversary to us! Yes, today is 8 years, yes, we are getting old and, yes we are still very much in denial. Jason had to fly tonight so we haven't been able to do anything. But we went to lunch this afternoon right before he had to go in. This was our attempt to try to take our own picture ( Jason is holding the camera, haha).
I can't believe it has been 8 years already. The time really snuck up on us. We were talking about it today and we both agreed, we have had a very fun and busy 8 years and feel like we have a lot to show for it, especially memories. We have moved a lot. And made new friends and have had a lot of great experiences, which have really made the time go by even faster. We have two amazing kids and we have a lot of fun with them. I don't think there is anything that we would trade!
Jason and I were married on December 16, 2000. We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple just this last year on March 25, 2008. It was such an amazing experience! And we take comfort in knowing that now our family will be together forever! So I guess that's eight down, and an eternity to go.!.! I'm so grateful for these 8 years and I look forward to another great year! Love ya babe!
