Happy 8TH Birthday Braydon

Braydon 8 years old.
The day he was born
His first birthday!
I cannot believe my boy is 8 years old already! Where has the time gone? He has done so much growing over the past 8 years, there are so many memories. I am so proud of the person Braydon has become. He is funny, witty, and so fun to be around. But he is also very smart and responsible. He is such a great helper around the house and with his little sister. I don't know what we would do without you, Braydon! I love you buddy!!!! Happy Birthday!

"No Matter What Happens, You've Been A Good Dad!"

I know these pictures are HORRIBLE, no really they SUCKED, but I wanted to show this ride. Saturday night we went to this carnival that was in town in Phenix City. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved it and so did we. Jason and Braydon went on this ride that spins really fast and then it stopped and went backwards. Well, Jason told Braydon that it was a malfunction, so Braydon with his witty little mind says to Jason. "No matter what happens, you've been a good dad!" It was HILARIOUS! We are STILL laughing about it.

Just A Bunch Of "Carnies"

Ambria was DYING to ride the train. And when I say dying I mean she was trying to jump out of my arms to get on that train. So I took her on it and she LOVED it. She loved being at the carnival and seeing all the lights and hearing all the noises.
Me and the boy on the ferris wheel. We were shooting bad guys and throwing smoke grenades. It's fun having an 8 year old BOY!
Daddy and Ambria on the Ferris Wheel. I don't think she liked this one too much. I could be wrong though.
Daddy and his little girl!
Braydon riding the Dragon. He loved this ride.

Birthday Party Fun

I messed up and this post was supposed to be after the next one down, so for more details see bleow. Oops. I could fix it, but just don't wanna! HAHA. Anyways, Braydon is opening his gifts from his friends. They were all so thoughtful, he loved all his presents. This one was from his best bud, Kaden. He is so excited to build his dinosaur!
Kaden and Kaleb even made him a WAY cute card, it was so super sweet. He has some great friends!
After the party, Braydon thought that the pinata wasn't quite destroyed enough so he went out back and took care of business. It was torn to SHREDS by the time he was done.
Ambria had fun at the party too. She was running around outside and trying her hardest to keep up with the big kids.

Braydon's Birthday Party

Here are a few pics from Braydon's birthday party he had on Saturday. He had all his good friends over and they had a blast! We had an Army theme (Braydon chose it) at first I though that would be a little weird, but we rocked it. We had the house all decked out in Army decor. All the kids got dog tags with their name and rank and army helmets to wear. It was a lot of fun. We played "pin the tank on the target" and then we bbq'd some hamburgers and hot dogs for all the kiddies. We tore up a pinata and blew out candles and opened presents. Good Times! In the above picture, Braydon is blowing out his trick candles. It was so funny, they kept relighting and after a while I finally had to take them out of the cake and put them in water to get them to stop catching fire.
Braydon taking a good whack at the pinata. That thing really was a TANK. We could not get it to break open. We were using a metal bat and still it took each kid three turns to finally get it open.
Butm when it finally opened.....well............let's just say, they cleaned up FAST!
The awesome Army cake.
Some of the decorations

Little Cuties

I took this picture this morning before church. I just thought they both looked so cute for church. Braydon just got this new suit and was so excited to wear it to church today.

Girlie Girl

Ambria found this purse and for some reason knows just how to use it. She would just put it up on her shoulder and walk around all proud of herself. She's so funny.

Classroom Fun!

Today, in Braydon's 2nd grade class, they had a party for all the kids who have birthdays in March since they are now on Spring Break for a week. So Jason, Ambria and I went and brought some goodies and joined in the fun. It was a blast to there with him in his class. They had a lot of fun. The teacher gave the birthday kids some silly glasses and we all sang happy birthday and then the kids got to eat their treats and watch a cartoon on the television. This kid on the right of the above picture jumped in front of the camera right as I took the picture....haha.
They kids are getting their birthday presents from Mrs. G
Eating some treats and watching the Magis School Bus. Braydon loves that show. It was kinda interesting, while we were there the other kids were all laughing and goofing off with Jason (shocker!) but Braydon was GLUED to the movie. He was WAY more interested in watching the show than whatever else was going on in the classroom.
Ambria made herself at home. She LOVED being in the classroom. She found a little chair and kicked back. All the kids loved watching her, they all thought she was so fun.
She decided to do some "centers" while she was there. They are learning centers that the kids do. We had a lot of fun there today and, of course, Jason had a lot of fun with the kids. Good times!

Do I Have Something On My Neck?

A few quick shots of Ambria. This girl LOVES to put things around her neck and walk around with it. It cracks us up, cause, seriously, let's be honest....WHY? We catch her all the time with random things around her neck and she just struts off around the house. If there is ever laundry in her reach, guess what's going around her neck (whether it be shirts, pants, socks, underwear......NOT kidding) It's really awesome when she gets into the bathroom and wraps the toilet paper around her neck and then sticks her little nose in the air and wanders the WHOLE house. And what's even better is when the toilet paper remains attached to the roll, so we now have this huge trail of toilet paper across the living rooms and even bedrooms. GOOD TIMES! Here are a few of the things I caught on her this week...

My Son, The Millionaire

That's right, Braydon is a millionaire. Wanna know the secret to his success? Well I was fortunate enough to learn myself, and because I am so generous and giving in nature I will tell you too. It really was quite funny. It might have been a "you had to be there" kind of moment, in retrospect, but we'll see. So Braydon came bursting through the door a few days ago after getting off the bus, with this fabulous one million dollar bill and said, "Mom, look what I just won on the Cash Cab!" No, seriously he said that. "I did the video bonus question at the end and doubled my money and I got NO strikes!" No kidding, right! So, like I said, he is now a bonified millionaire! I have taught my son well. HAHA. No really though, he watched that show like once on tv the other night and was hooked. SSSSOO funny what kids pick up that you wouldn't expect.

Adventures Outdoors

Ambria LOVES going outside. If ever the door is open she will dart out it faster than we can blink (we really have to watch her). So yesterday I decided to let her go out and follow her around to see what kind of mischief she gets into. And BTW that is Jason washing the cars and yes, this is just about an everyday occurance here. Haha.
First she wandered over to the water to touch it.
"Hmm, this is getting boring, maybe I'll head to the backyard." (after mommy having to chase her down the driveway several times because she tries to escape)
Up the slide we go.......
Now a little swinging action. She is such a busy little stinker. But she never got bored, she would have stayed out there all day if we let her. Next I will try to capture a day of Braydon.....haha. I am saving up my energy for a bit though, he is a busy fella. So many games, so little time.

Do You Think She's Teething???

I found this the other day. And the kicker is that our crib has a protective plastic cover on the fromt of it for this very reasoon, but somehow our little stinker stinker figured out that the side doesn't. What's funny is that my mom had a wooden rocking chair when we were growing up that every one of us kids teethed on. We loved sinking our teeth into that thing. So I guess in a way, I know where Ambria is coming from. HAHAHA

Snow. Here?

We woke up this morning to a BEAUTIFUL sight! SSSSNNNNNOOOOWWW!!!!! It was awesome! We couldn't believe it. It snowed in Alabama! We have been here 4 years and we have NEVER seen anything even resembling snow here. It was truley a day of days! HAHA! The above pic is our church and all the wonderful white stuff.
Braydon and Bria all bundled up for the wet stuff!
And just a cute pic of my man!
This one is our house. I took this just to show the snow, but later in the day there was much more. What a fun surprise to wake up to! It was hard to sit through church with this stuff outside. The kids were all so excited the whole day, Braydon was talking about how he wanted to make a snow angel and a snowman. Unfortunatly we didn't get to do either, there wasn't enough snow that stuck at our house. But at least we got to enjoy it a little. Hooray for snow!

Cute New Jammies

So on our rather adventurous trip to go shopping yesterday in the storm we picked Ambria up some new Jammies. I just thought they were cute. It's her first pair of "big girl" (two piece) jammies.

Wicked Weather

Yesterday, (saturday) we had some flash floods and tornados (though the tornados were in the next county over) but we, thinking we could do anything, thought we could go out in the storm and do some shopping in Columbus anyways. So we drove through this. There was water EVERYWHERE. This was our drive out to Columbus.
It looked like this car was gonna float away. And at one point there was garbage and things floating down the river in the street.
Visibility was pretty bad as you can see. I took more pictures of it, but visibility was so bad, you can't even tell what the pics are of. And, as Alabama weather goes, about an hour later it was sunny and 75 degrees out.

Ambria Vs. The Slide

It was a pretty nice day on Friday and Ambria loves to be outside whenever possible so we took her out back. We were out there doing things and she was playing and wandering around the back yard. We caught her trying to climb up the slide (one of the joys and benefits of having an older brother that you can copy) I just think it's funny to watch her try. It was interesting too, because she did this for about 10 straight minutes. But she NEVER gave up or even got frustrated, she would just keep climbing. Persistent little girl!

Call Family Blog

Welcome to our family blog. We are using this mainly as a way to keep in touch with long lost family and friends. I decided that with everyone scattered to the winds that we could stay involved this way. xoxo
