Jane, I Mean Jason...

So I walked into the living room the other evening, and this is how I caught Jason. But, what concerned me the most was not so much what he was DOING, but what he was WEARING. Yes, those are my pajama bottoms, yes they are PINK, and no I have no idea why he decided to slip them on.......showing his true colors, perhaps. Just kidding, but not really......hahaa. Yeah, that's my man, everyone.......hmmm.
A closer veiw, in case you didn't get enough in the first pic, just wanted to make sure everyone got a good look.

Out With The Old, In With The New

After much deliberation, thinking, sweat, and tears (no, not really) we finally decided on a new car seat for Bria. We looked at a lot of different ones in stores and on line and finally chose one. We opened up the box in the parking lot, stuffed the infant seat in the trunk and the new seat got it's maiden voyage that same night. She looks so small in this seat, where in the infant seat she had to curl her little legs in because they stuck out of the seat and against the car. I absolutly love having her facing forward now, it's great to be able to look back and see her. And she loves it too, she's constantly looking around and out the windows. She is growing up so fast.

A New Driver And New Friends

Just a few random new pics. Ambria thinks she is so big. We're taking her to get her licence tomorrow, although I don't know what her plan is to reach the pedals. Oh, well we'll just let let her work that out!

Braydon and Ambria found this lovely car cart at the commisary the other day. BTW, I really hate grocery shopping and it is worse when you have two rug rats that complain and don't want to be there either and I also hate pushing those big annoying carts around, but surprisingly it made the whole crappy grocery shopping experience a little easier, with both kids happy and having fun in the cart. They even did the stearing for me....Haha. Ambria would copy whatever Braydon did, so if he pretended to stear, she did too, if he stood up and got out of the cart.....I think you see where this is going.

Jason and I went out to lunch last weekend and Ambria really wanted to get out of her high chair, so we let her out, mostly out of curiosity. She, as it turns out, is very social. After pushing the high chair back to it's proper place (above) she went ahead and introduced herself to everyone else in the restaurant. She made a lot of new friends, not excluding a table full big men including Mr "I could kill you with one squeeze", Mr "I'm too big for my OWN good" and Mr. "my friends call me bubba". But this little baby girl just goes right up to this table of rather large men and they melted, like puddy in her hands. She gave them a quick little speech about her day, her frustrations, or whatever? (still learning baby babble, here) and then she walked away. Turns out she's a pretty smooth operator! She must get that from me. Right.

If You're Good We Can Go To The Dentist!

So, Braydon and I had dentist appointments yesterday, ya know, routine cleaning, check up, that sort of thing. Well, who would have thought this was going to be an exciting event to remember. Braydon was CRACKING me up. I picked him up from school and the whole way to the dentists office he looked like he was about to jump out of his seat. and he did this the whole way there. It was quite entertaining, (who needs radio, right). So you all know that moment when you open the door to the dentist office and you get that gust of air and you can smell that dentist smell and it instantly brings back, usually painful (literally), memories and you just kind of cringe and shutter and maybe even get a little chill down your spine. Well at that moment I looked down at Braydon and he was grinning ear to ear. (I might have to look into what he had for breakfast and get me some....). Anyways, he had a perma-grin on his face and looked like a kid at a candy store. Me, I could not find the appeal myself. But I don't know, it's been a while since I was 7....hmm. So we are waiting in the waiting room for them to call us back and Braydon was LITERALLY bouncing in his seat. He could not contain himself. When he could not sit any longer he got up and bounced and skipped over to the water fountain and then bounced and skipped back. I WAS BESIDE MYSELF! No idea what to think of this, all I could do was laugh. So they finally called our names and then all what right in the world of Braydon. They cleaned his teeth and he was elated. I have no idea what we did to make this kid enjoy the dentist so much. it was like we had surprised him and taken him to six flags or disneyworld. I am not complaining, of course, just a little confused. BTW.........no cavities.

Free At Last

Happy cast off day to Ambria. She is finally free of that awful burden of lugging around a rediculously huge cast for a very little and petite one year old. It was great fun getting it off of her. I think I may have enjoyed it more than she. When they cut that old ugly stinky thing off i thought she would be happy but i didn't realize that, yes, she would be pretty sore. And not to mention that her cute little arm now has these terrible sores left behind from that hideous monstrocity that once resided on her arm. However the doctor saw it and acted as if he sees it all the time. Don't quite know how to take that.....is it that they wrap the wounds badly all the time, or is this just a normal result? At any rate, SHE IS FREE! Hooray. These are pics of her at daddy's work right after the great event, she seems so much happier. Although, at lunch today she got a fever, so she may be getting sick....this poor girl.

Basketball Trophies

Braydon recieved his bashetball trophie last night at the team party. He loves getting trophies, it makes it all woth while in the end if he can get a trophie to put on his dresser. The kids had a lot of fun, they got to eat pizza and play games and get their trophies.
Ambria was trying to fit in with the big kids. She isn't shy, she just walks right over to them and pushes her way through the crowd. Funny little girl!

Tiger Pride

Today was Braydon's last basketball game. Of course, they won! 22 to 12. Go Tigers!! Braydon really loved playing basketball, it was a lot of fun for him. It was a really fun season. I love going and watching and cheering for his team. Ambria sure gets into it, too. She yells and claps, so cute.
Way to go Braydon! (He is #29)

Birmingham Or Bust

This weekend was my good friend Jessica's birthday! Happy birthday Jess! They live in Nashville and we all met in Birmingham for some fun girl time. We ate at some really cool restaurants and saw a movie and stayed up way too late at the hotel talking. And then did some shopping....so fun.
Here is me, Jessica, Beth, and Lori...
Beth and Sarah. We ate dinner at this realy neat restaurant called 26....(don't know what the name means). It was really cool inside. And actually the bathroom was my favorite part, cause you got to go through beaded cutains to get there and then they weren't labeled Men or Women, and yes to answer your question......I guessed wrong. But then the other bathrooms were behind sliding doors that I thought were closets at first and there was just a little toilet and a troth like thing to wash your hands...so weird, but awesome! I wish I had gotten a pic of the bathroom.
Me and Lori. Thanks for a great weekend girls.........love ya, had a blast!
I got home Sunday night around 8 pm. I thought Ambria would be excited to see me cause she has never really been away from me that long before, so I was expected this great reunion with hugs and stuff. But instead I came in and she saw me and just froze midstep and looked away. She wouldn't even look at me. She was MAD at me! She held her hands and stuck out her bottom lip and looked down and wouldn't come to me. I couldn't believe it. She would sometimes peek at me from the corner of her eye, but she had to warm up to coming to hug me. It was crazy. I must have really broke her little heart. Eventually I got her and then she wouldn't let me put her down until we put her in bed.......pppooooorrr girl!

Ambria's Little Pet

Ambria loves our dog. She always gets so excited whenever she sees her outside. The second we go to the door, Ambria will start yelling at her. It's really funny. We thought this was too funny, Ambria just stood herself up to the dog and started giving her hugs. It's cool because Sadie will just sit there and let Ambria do anything. She is very gentle with the baby, it's like she knows that she's fragile and she knows the limits.

We Have A Walker

Ambria has finally decided that she can walk. She has been toying with it for a while, taking steps and may be sometimes walking across the room, but today she just suddenly stood up and won't sit back down. I was in my room with the door closed, but not latched today and I looked up because the door had opened and to my astonishment Ambria was standing there. She pushed the door opened and then continued to walk all the way over to my bed, turned around and walked out. I was so amazed! She is so good at it. She literally walked around the entire house tonight. So far this is the best video we have gotten. I'll post more later, but she is getting so big! I am so proud of her and way excited!! GO AMBRIA!!
