It was a pretty boring saturday, we were wondering how we were gonna entertain ourselves when suddenly THIS came along!
This is in my next door neighbors' front yard! He's about 5-6 feet long, and they said he came from the woods BEHIND MY HOUSE and was probably bullied out by a BIGGER one! (words of comfort, I know!!) It sat there for a while until animal control got there, they weren't great friends to say the least! In fact I think little Gator here, pretty much hated that guy!
They made several attempts to capture the little fella. This (below) was not the last. Every time they tried to get a hold of it, he would bite on the pole and rip it away. Finally they got him after a few rolls around on the ground and some tackling.
Yeah, they hog tied him-enough said.
And now for the photo op.
So Braydon came home from school on Thursday and said "By the way, I keep forgetting to tell you, but I have to make a solar system by TOMORROW!" Yeah, that just happened! So we had one night to put a soalr system together. We just used whatever we had around the house, cause we had no time to go to the store and plan this really nice awesome project. So 11:00 at night, it's finished. It wasn't too bad. Braydon really liked it and was excited to take it to school.
I just thought this was funny. Ambria put on Braydon's shoes and his backpack and said, "Bye, mommy! Ammy go on da Bus!"
At the request (well bullying,lol) of my mother in law, here are some recent photos that I have been slacking on posting here. These are in no particular order. But are fairly recent. At the park with the kiddos after feeding the ducks, which regretably I have NO pictures of!
Jason's first flight in a fixed wing and Braydon and I got to tag along. Pretty much I only lasted 2 flight patterns and I had to bail. Next time I will bring my OWN barf bag!

I really like this picture. This was a few days ago, she has a mouthful of cheese, but I just love how pretty she looks here.
Here are few random recent events for the boy. We have been doing some really fun activites with his Cubscout pack, they got to do some archery a few weeks ago, here is Braydon and his arrow!

We took a little trip to the Georgia Aquarium with some friends Easter weekend! It was a blast, we decided to make a weekend of it and headed up there Friday afternoon, got a hotel room and and got Hard Rock takeout. Then Saturday morning we got up and ventured to the Aquarium. It was so cool! These are just a few pics, but my favs were the sharks, it was so neat to see. I've never been to an aquarium before so I think I was more excited than the kiddos.
Braydon turned nine this year! Holy cow! I can't even believe it. I know this post is WAY late, but here are a few pics of his par-tay. Below, he is opening gifts from his friends....
He had a Bakugan themed party, so I made him some cakes shaped like Bakugans. I'm a rookie, I know, but it's really fun to try!
I have really been slacking in the blogging department, but am trying to be better. My last post was Halloween! It seems so overwhelming to play catch up at this point, so I will probably just start from here. Both of our kids celebrated birthdays and christmas during my "blogging laziness era" so scroll down for a couple new posts. Braydon had his "Bakugan" birthday party yesterday, so pics will come shortly.
Because I am such a terrible blogger, here is a quick re-cap of our fun Christmas Vacation in Utah.......
We spent a month in Utah over Christmas break and it was so much fun. We got to play in the snow, build an amazingly awesome snowman, visit with our families, and relax. Jason and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary..I can't beleive it's been 9 years! It was so nice to be able to leave the kiddos with family and go out on date!
Ambria mastered climbing out of the crib while in Utah and Braydon mastered snowball throwing. Both big milestones for the kids! And we were able to talk my amazingly talented sister in law Amberly to snap a few shots of the fam! They turned out great, she is an awesome photographer, thanks so much Amberly!!
Christmas '09 rocked! Hopefully we will have a repeat in '10..........cross our fingers!
So while we were in Utah for Christmas vacation we got to celebrate Ambria's second birthday. It was so nice to be able to celebrate that with all her family. I can't believe my baby girl is 2 already! It is going way too fast. Jason calls her ladybug and she really likes ladybugs. So naturally she had a ladybug birthday party. Marqae and I attempted a ladybug cake for her, here it is.
She also had ladybug cupcakes for those who didn't want to eat the fondant cake. Ambria pretty much just licked the icing off of them. But at least she ate it this year. Last year she wouldn't touch her birthday cake, she fed it to daddy instead.
